Temporarily in your home. Forever in your heart.
Temporary Home is a children’s clothing circular economy built for families in Clinton County, Illinois and the surrounding communities. We make it simple for parents to buy affordable, gently used kids’ clothing and shoes—and to pass along the outgrown items taking up space in their closets—while keeping quality garments out of landfills and putting real dollars back into local daycares.
The platform is for busy parents and caregivers who want name-brand children’s clothing at a fraction of retail, for consignors who would rather have someone else handle the photographing, listing, and shipping, and for the daycares and schools that serve as community collection partners and share in the proceeds from every bag of clothing they help rehome. Sellers ship us a bag of outgrown clothes; we inspect, photograph, price, and list each item, then handle checkout, fulfillment, and payout. Unsold items are donated or returned at the seller’s preference.
Temporary Home is built and operated by Temporary Home LLC, a small Illinois-based team committed to building the local circular economy for families—helping parents declutter, save money, support schools, and keep clothes circulating for as long as possible. Every order, payout, and daycare contribution is tracked transparently in our public Trust Center.
