Multi-Item Escalation Rules

When a customer orders multiple items, the system selects the smallest active packaging profile whose Max Items value can hold the combined order.

1–2 items→ Small Poly Mailer (when suitable)
3–5 items→ Medium Poly Mailer
6–10 items→ Large Poly Mailer
Shoes / Bulky→ Shoe Box, Small Box, or separate parcel

Adjust the Max Items field on each profile above to change escalation thresholds.

Shippo Rate Selection

  • • All eligible carrier services are displayed to the customer at checkout.
  • • Estimated delivery time is shown when returned by Shippo.
  • • The lowest-cost standard service is selected by default — never an express service.
  • • In the Admin fulfillment view, the cheapest tracked service is highlighted.
  • • The customer-selected service is never silently substituted with a slower one.
