Introduction

Temporary Home carefully reviews every item submitted for consignment. To protect our customers, maintain a high-quality marketplace, and comply with applicable safety standards, we cannot accept items that are unsafe, damaged, unsanitary, recalled, incomplete, or otherwise unsuitable for resale.

Temporary Home reserves the right to decline any item at its discretion.

Safety Items and Baby Equipment

The following safety items and baby equipment cannot be accepted for consignment:

• Car seats
• Infant car seats
• Convertible car seats
• Booster seats
• Car seat bases
• Car seat accessories that affect installation or safety
• Cribs
• Drop-side cribs
• Crib mattresses
• Bassinets
• Bedside sleepers
• Play yards or Pack 'n Plays
• Baby walkers
• Baby gates with missing hardware
• Used breast pumps that are not closed-system models
• Used breast pump tubing or personal-use components
• Used bottle nipples
• Used pacifiers
• Any recalled children's product
• Any item with an expired safety date
• Any item without required safety labels, model numbers, or manufacturer information

Clothing and Accessories

The following clothing and accessories cannot be accepted for consignment:

• Clothing with stains
• Clothing with holes, tears, or excessive wear
• Clothing with excessive fading or pilling
• Clothing with strong odors
• Clothing with smoke odor
• Clothing with mildew or musty odors
• Clothing with excessive pet hair
• Items with missing buttons
• Items with broken zippers
• Items with damaged snaps, elastic, or fasteners
• Items with peeling graphics or cracked designs
• Undergarments unless new with tags
• Socks unless new with tags
• Used cloth diapers
• Used swim diapers
• Personalized or monogrammed items unless approved in advance
• Clothing with offensive, inappropriate, or discriminatory language or imagery
• Items that are not clean and resale-ready

Shoes

The following shoes cannot be accepted for consignment:

• Shoes with excessive sole wear
• Shoes with holes, tears, or separation
• Shoes with peeling or damaged material
• Shoes with strong odors
• Shoes with excessive interior wear
• Shoes missing laces, insoles, straps, or other necessary pieces
• Shoes that are heavily stained or cannot be properly cleaned

Toys, Books, and Children's Items

The following toys, books, and children's items cannot be accepted for consignment:

• Broken toys
• Incomplete toys
• Toys missing required pieces
• Toys with sharp edges or exposed wiring
• Battery-operated toys that do not work
• Toys with corroded battery compartments
• Toys without required safety components
• Recalled toys
• Stuffed animals with stains, odors, damage, or excessive wear
• Books with missing pages
• Books with excessive writing, water damage, mold, or torn covers
• Puzzles or games missing pieces
• Items that cannot be safely cleaned or sanitized

Feeding and Personal-Care Items

The following feeding and personal-care items cannot be accepted for consignment:

• Used bottle nipples
• Used pacifiers
• Used teethers that cannot be fully sanitized
• Opened personal-care products
• Used cosmetics or hygiene products
• Expired products
• Opened food, formula, medication, or supplements
• Used utensils or feeding products that are damaged, stained, cracked, or unsanitary

General Exclusions

The following items are excluded from consignment under all categories:

• Counterfeit or imitation products
• Stolen merchandise
• Recalled products
• Expired products
• Items with mold, mildew, pests, or signs of infestation
• Items exposed to smoke
• Unsanitary items
• Hazardous materials
• Weapons or weapon-related items
• Items that violate applicable laws
• Items that violate intellectual property rights
• Items that cannot be safely stored, shipped, or sold
• Items that do not match Temporary Home's current accepted inventory categories
• Items Temporary Home determines are unsuitable for resale

Additional Information

Submission of an item does not guarantee that it will be accepted for consignment. Temporary Home may decline an item after inspection, even if it is not specifically listed above.

Temporary Home may update this policy as product-safety guidance, recall information, inventory needs, or marketplace standards change.

If a seller is unsure whether an item is eligible, they should contact Temporary Home before including it in their submission.
